Good morning! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Today we all have some hot pink nails to share with you - so many things you can do with a hot pink polish. :) I did some fan brush art. The 3 polishes I used are all very different to me, haha, but you can barely see the difference in the mani.
I used Spoiled Tip Your Waitress, China Glaze Glow With The Flow, and Julep Madison over Pure Ice SuperStar! (white). They blended together well with the fan brush to create a barbie pink mani that is fun for the first official weekend of Summer!
Make sure you take a look at all the other fabulous hot pink manis!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Music
Good afternoon! I am a little behind with this post because I was struggling for inspiration. I ended up just going through my nail polish rack of untried colors, trying to find my inspiration there, when I came across this beauty and was immediately inspired.
This is Bear Pawlish Poor Unfortunate Souls. Now you all know I love The Little Mermaid. As soon as I picked up this bottle and saw the title, I started singing the song to myself and realized it was perfect. I decided to paint some poor unfortunate souls on my nails! I used only 4 additional colors for this: Pure Ice Black Rage and Superstar!, Zoya Wednesday, and Sephora by OPI Caught With My Khakis Down.
I'm going to let you in on a little secret that only my hubby and a few of my closest friends know: I have a Disney playlist on Spotify and I blast that thing while I'm sitting in my nail nook painting my nails and sing along loudly. I even listen to it (with headphones) while I am working. It always cheers me up. :P
So there you have it, my music inspired nails. Make sure you check out what everyone else did for this prompt!

40 Great Nailart Ideas - Neon
Good evening! This week, our theme is neon, so I have a bright neon mani for you today! I started off with a white base for this ones, to make the colors brighter, and used a few colors from the China Glaze neon collection from last year.
I did an axtec pattern over top of stripes of neon using my striping polish from Orly called Jet Black, and my Sally Hansen nailart pen in Black. The colors I used for the background are China Glaze Glow With The Flow, DJ Blue My Mind, Red-y To Rave, and Violet-Vibes. I used Pure Ice SuperStar! underneath to make the colors pop.
Please make sure you visit the other people who posted their neon manis for this week's prompt! There are bound to be tons of ideas in there for some great summer nailart. :) Thanks for stopping by!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Spring
Hello! So I feel like every idea ever in the history of time when it comes to Sprig manicures has been done. So, of course, I was over here struggling to think up something new. Well, I don't have anything new. Everyone knows what Spring entails. Every Spring-like mani has been done. So, I'm just doing what I like, and what reminds me most of Spring. And guess what? It's baby ducks. I literally just got a little shiver of excitement typing that. You guys, I love baby ducks so much I can hardly stand it!!! They are so cute, in their cute little line behind their mama. So, I decided to paint that on my nails.
I started off with OPI My Pal Joey from the Hello Kitty Collection. After that, I hand painted the mama duck and the little babies using Pure Ice SuperStar! and Black Rage, Essie Meet Me at Sunset, and Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow.
Here is what My Pal Joey looks like on its own. It is a thin polish, but surprisingly this is only two coats. I was skeptical after the first thin and streaky coat, but it looked fine on the second. I love how bright it is, too. It's a perfect nail color for Spring!
There you have it. Baby ducks = Spring. And I loooooove baby ducks! My husband will take me out to the park where there is a big pond to take pictures of baby ducks. That is the tradition. I will take like a hundred pictures. It will be great. So, I guess that is all I have for you today. Please make sure you check out what everyone else did for their spring manicures!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Black & White
Lord have mercy, I am having a heck of a time lately. BUT I will persevere, darn it! So, in the spirit of persevering in the face of so much disappointment in the world...I bring you my black and white for this week. Yeah, it was supposed to post yesterday. But yesterday was the first day in 3 days I didn't wake up feeling like absolute trash, and I had to go to work haha. So, after work, I did this mani. I was too tired to blog about it, so I'm doing it today. I may have slept until noon, but I'm still fighting off whatever illness I had, and I'm up now! The theme this week is black and white, and most of my favorite black and white art is from my dad's favorite artist, M.C. Escher. Now, let me tell you about how hard it is to recreate a pencil drawing with a paintbrush and nailpolish. It's hard. So I went for one of his most simplistic designs - cubes!
I used three basic colors from Pure Ice, SuperStar! (white), Black Rage, and Kiss Me Here (grey). The cubes were not to bad to paint. You just start with a hexagon pattern (like honeycombs), then paint in the rectangles of black and grey. It came out looking pretty cool, although a bit on the sloppy side. I have to start on next week's manicure now so that I can take my time with it!
It looks less sloppy from a distance! haha
Thank you so much for checking out my nailart. Make sure you look at everyone else's black and white nails!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Halloween
For this week's prompt the Crumpet's Nail Tarts are all do Halloween manis! I saw a mani a while back on instagram from @nailsbycambria that I really wanted to try to recreate, so I did. Her nail art had yellow and green eyes, but I wanted red because that seems scarier to me, so I went with an orange and red combination using Barielle Joytini and Revlon Fearless. The rest of the mani was done using Pure Ice Black Rage. Take a look at how it came out!

Here is what the mani looked like before I sponged on my gradient and drew in the eyes. :)
Thank you so much for looking. Make sure you check out what everyone else did for their Halloween manicures!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Geeks
Happy Friday! Today is the 3rd day of the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge. The theme is geeks, and I am so super thrilled with how my mani came out for this one. As most of you probably already know, I am a giant video game nerd. :D I decided to do a mani for a game that I spent the better part of the year playing in my free time - Dragon Age Inquisition. I decided to use the cover image for my inspiration.
For this mani, I used Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet for my base, then used the follow colors for all of the detail work:
I played through this game twice, once in normal mode, then again on hard. Then, my husband bought me the expansion, so I played even more! Haha. Currently, I am playing Elder Scrolls Online, so if any of my fellow nail nerds is also a video game geek who plays too, we should totally play together! ;)
Anyway, even if you don't give a hoot about video games, this is still a pretty sweet dragon, so I'm sure we can all appreciate that! I'm so excited to see what everyone else does for this challenge. Make sure you all check out what they do. There are bound to be a ton of really great manis out there!

Red Hearts Jelly Pond Manicure
Ok, so I was hoping to get my Rainbow Honey swatches done BEFORE I show off this mani, but I am terrible at deadlines. You get to see the color before I officially share the swatch because I gotta get this post in before the end of the week for the stamping plate challenge...and it's Friday! I did this mani using Rainbow Honey Red Jelly Sandals from this month's Mystery Bag.
I did two coats of Red Jelly Sandals, then stamped this heart pattern from CICI&SISI 23 using Julep Harley. I layered one more coat of Red Jelly Sandals, and then stamped the heart pattern again in white using Pure Ice SuperStar!.
It's very Valentine's-y. :P I'll have to remember I have this pretty red jelly at Christmas and again at Valentine's Day! Thank you so much for looking today! I only have a few manis left to do this month using this plate. Wish me luck!

Mickey Mouse Nail Art with Creative Cuticles Of Mice And Merlin
Hello! Oh boy I have been busy lately, so sorry about the lack of posts, but I am working on some new nail art tonight, which I will probably have posted tomorrow night or Friday morning. :) Today, I have a mani I did for a coworker who is going to Disneyland on Thursday. I had just bought this polish from Creative Cuticles when I found out she was going and told her more or less, she pretty much NEEDED it for the trip. We sat down at lunch last Friday and I painted these little sorcerer Mickeys on her ring fingers and then added two coats of Of Mice And Merlin to every other nail.
The base colors used for this are Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Julep Margaret. I painted Mickey using Pure Ice Black Rage and SuperStar!, Revlon First Class, and Julep Clara. Now I have my fingers crossed they last through her whole vacation!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I'm really starting to quite like doing other people's nails. It's fun and a great lunch time de-stresser. :)

52 Week Callenge - Swirls + 3 Shades of Red/Orange
Oh my goodness, another Monday. I just want a break already! :D You know, for like 6 months, haha! Ah well, today, I have a water marble for you. I haven't done one in a while, so I decided to give it a whirl again, and this one came out about as good as any other I have done. It kept drying to quickly in the water (probably because of the air conditioning), and I got bubbles as usual. BUT, I like it anyway. :)
I used Revlon Fearless, The New Black orange (it has no name that I can find, and came in their rainbow collection), and Barielle Joytini to create this water marble. I painted my nails white using Pure Ice Superstar! first to make the colors brighter. I don't have much else to say about this mani, haha. I'm a little disappointed in my inability to create nice watermarbles, but I feel like it was partly the air blowing too much and possibly a bad choice of polishes. I weeded out a bunch that didn't spread well, but these ones were drying so fast. I'm not sure if it was the A/C or the polish itself. Oh well.
In my next post, you will see my coworkers nails instead of mine. I did her nails on lunch break and they seriously came out SO awesome. Make sure you check out what everyone else did for this week's prompt, and have a great week!

52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge - Skittles + Red and Pink
Happy Friday everyone! I am so ready for the weekend, oh my goodness. For this week's challenge, I combined the prompts again. As much as I would love to post every day, it is just not happening for me, so here I am only posting 2-3 times a week. Oh well, it could be worse I suppose. Since I didn't want my mani to look to Valentine's Day-esque, I decided to throw some black in there too. It gave me a reason to play with a glitter I haven't used yet, too!
I started off with Nicole by OPI Be Ama-Zing! for my base. On my pinky, I added two coats of Maybelline Color Show At Heart. It is various sizes and shapes of red and black glitters. The red polish I used, is from the same set: Nicole by OPI Challenge Red-y. I used striping tape for the designs on my middle and ring fingers and the stamp I used on my thumb is from Bundle Monster plate BM-412. I stamped in red, then used Pure Ice Black Rage to dot on little accents. I feel like I haven't quite mastered the skittle. I always feel like mine look awkward...haha.
Here is what Nicole by OPI Be Ama-Zing! looks like on it's own. It's a lovely pink cream with blue undertones, and is very opaque. This is two coats, plus a coat of Seche Vite.
Thank you so much for looking, and have a safe and happy 4th of July! I'll be back Sunday with something new to show off. :)

Go Cavs! - Game 5 Nailart
Today is game 5 of the NBA Finals, and we could not be any more excited and proud of our Cavaliers this year! It's funny because I don't usually care about sports at all, but I guess all that changes when you finally have a team you can get excited about. I used to adore basketball when I was age 8-13 or so, and that was mostly because I grew up outside of Chicago at the height of the Michael Jordan magic era. :)
I did this mani using Pure Ice Vintage as my base and then I drew everything in freehand using Julep Coco and Butter London Royal Navy and a small nail art brush.
Go Cavs! Thank you so much for reading - I'll be back in a couple days with a new mani.

52 Week Pick n Pix Challenge - Lilac and Pink Rose Nail Art
Wooooooo! First of all, yay it's FRIDAY! I'm telling you what: I need this weekend sooo bad. So bad. I'm back at it today with the 52 Week Pick n Mix. This week is Roses + Pink and Lilac, so I threw a little white in there too and rocked out the dots as well! I busted out my newest lilac polish from Wet n Wild's Silver Lake Collection for my base.
I added my roses freehand using Nicole by OPI Ama-Zing! and did the detail using essie marshmallow (because it's sheer, so it turned light pink), and used Pure Ice SuperStar! for the white detail in the roses and the dots on my accent nails.
Here is what Wet n Wild Reject the Mainstream looks like all by itself. It's a really pretty dusty lavender cream. It was nice and opaque too, this is two coats.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend everyone!

Floral manicure - Leadlighting Technique
I tried my hand at leadlighting for the first time, and let me tell you: it is AWESOME. I like it even more than making my own stamping decals! I did this pretty floral manicure in such a short amount of time using the leadlighting technique. I've been asked to give some tutorials on here, so I'm going to try to get better about taking pictures throughout my nail painting process. Of course, I failed to do that for this one, but there are already tons of tutorials out there for leadlighting, so for now, I will direct you to this one. :)
I started off by painting all my nails white using Pure Ice SuperStar!, then I stamped over it with Konad Special Black using MoYou London Explorer plate 03. After I had my stamped image done on each nail, I worked on filling in the design using a whole bunch of Sally Hansen polishes that I mixed with a clear top coat.
I used 8 different polishes to color in the image in this manicure: Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, Kiwi Bikini, Perfect Pear-ing, Mellow Yellow, Peach Beach, Razz-Berry, Lacey Lilac, and Purple Craze. This was super fun to do, and I absolutely love the result! I encourage all of you to try this method - it's fast and turns out so nice!
I did this mani as part of a weekly challenge for my stamping group on facebook. Please make sure that you check out what they did for their leadlighting manicures this week!

52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge - Purple + Hearts
Hi everyone. I finished this mani a couple of days ago, and had hoped to have it posted for Valentine's Day, but lately I just don't feel like taking pictures, or going through the photos, or adding my watermark, or any of that nonsense really. I just want o paint my nails and have them magically show up online here. *sigh* Anyway, I played with a pretty purple from Butter London, and one of my new stamping plates from Bundle Monster for this one!

The base is Butter London Stroppy. I stamped over it using Konad Special White and Bundle Monster plate BM-411, and then I carefully painted over the white using Pure Ice Busted. It is a super sheer purple shimmer. Here is what it looked like before I added Busted over top.
I like it both ways, but you can never have too much purple! ;) Here is what Butter London Stroppy looks like by itself. It is a super rich, shimmery, purple. I really like it!
