52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge - 3 Color Gradient + Pink

Goodness I love gradients! They are just always so pretty! Today I have a purple, pink, and yellow gradient to show off to fulfill both prompts in one manicure. I used COS BAR's no-name purple polish from their Target exclusive two years ago, L.A. Colors Magnetic Force, and Barielle Soul-er Powered. They look even more beautiful together than I imagined. :) After that, I added some stamping using MoYou London's The Pro plate 13 for the hummingbird and flower images with Konad Special Black polish.

Here is the gradient all on it's own. At first, I didn't want to stamp over it, it was so pretty, but I'm happy to say that the stamping only improved upon it. ;)

Here is L.A. Colors Magnetic Force all by itself. It is a coral-leaning, shimmery pink that went on in just two coats.

That's all I have for you today! Later this week I will have some freehand nail art for you if I don't muck it up. Wish me luck!

Here is what everyone else did!

The Neverending Pile Challenge - Frost

Good afternoon! For this post I am using a REALLY old polish. It is one of the first polishes I ever got, and is at least 15 years old. I'm not sure if it still exists anymore - Google tells me no, but you can still buy it if you really want on ebay. :) It is called Plum Frost and it is from CoverGirl.

I decided to add a bit of nail art using a striper from L.A. Colors in Silver. I free-handed some quick leafy vine art all over each nail.

Thanks for looking and make sure you check out what everyone else has for their frost polish!

Golden Oldie Thursday - Valentine's

Good evening! Today I have two old polishes that I have never used. One is actually a topcoat...and shame on me for never busting this one out! It is beautiful and I really just kept forgetting that I had it! Here is my Valentine's Day mani!

I used L.A. Colors Paradise Pink for the base. It's a great pink, I really need to use it again! I used Konad Special White for the stamping, which is nothing new. I used a bunch of different plates for this one: my thumb is Konad m78, my index and pinkie are both on BM02, my middle finger is BM03 and BM09, and my ring finger is from RA106. The topcoat is Out The Door's Northern Lights. What is wrong with me?! I need to use this on every mani! haha

Here is L.A. Colors Paradise Pink by itself. It went on in two smooth coats, and has a nice shimmer to it. :)

Well thanks for looking! Make sure you take a look at what the others did for this challenge!

Nail-Art-A-Go-Go Day 2 = Jewel Tones!

Good evening! I thought I would have this post up earlier, but I kept having to pause my painting to cook up some yummy foods for the big game tonight. I don't care about football AT ALL, but I do care about my husband. Therefore, I made all sorts of yummy game snacks to surprise him and make this day extra special. And, since I get to eat it all too, it makes me happy. :) Anyway, for today's post, I got it in my head that I wanted to do something like stained glass.

It was a lot more time consuming than I first imagined, but I loved the way it turned out. It looks pretty much the way I envisioned it. :) I used the stamping decal method with an image on Cheeky XL Plate D. This is the part that took forever, but it was worth it.

For this mani, I ended up using 12 nail polishes! I'm going to list them out below rather than explain in detail what I did with each one. I just don't have that kind of time today!! I will say that I started out with a white base in the hopes that the colors would look brighter, so for  that, I used Pure Ice SuperStar!, which you all know by now is my favorite white. Here are the rest of the colors I used:
  • butter LONDON Knees Up
  • essie Sure Shot
  • Julep Angela
  • Julep Leah
  • Julep Marjorie
  • Konad Special Black
  • L.A. Colors Magnetic Force
  • L.A. Colors Wired
  • Pure Ice Femme Fatale
  • Pure Ice Vintage Glam
  • Sally Hansen Pronto Purple
Make sure you check out what all the others did for today's challenge!!!

Nicole I Lilac Gumdrops Nail Art

Hey guys! I know I've been gone awhile. I've just got so much going on, and honestly, I'm enjoying my summer! It's not often that we get nice weather in this part of the US, so I have to soak it up while it's here. I have been painting my nails this whole time, but I just didn't feel like sitting inside on my laptop for hours blogging about it - isn't that bad?!

Well, anyway, here is my quick nail art. I feel like it's not my best work ever, but I just don't feel like being indoors! I will say that I do love the Nicole Gumdrops polishes. I have two of them, and I'll show off the other one sometime soon. I did some quick strokes with a striper brush using Nicole Be Ama-Zing!, Pure Ice SuperStar!, and L.A. Colors Art Deco in Silver.

And here is I Lilac Gumdrops all by itself. It is textured and dries to a matte satiny finish. I topcoated it right away because I needed a smooth surface for my nail art, but it was fun in its textured form, too.

Thanks for looking! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

30 Day Flower Challenge Day 24: Sunflower

I'm short on time today, so here is my sunflower mani for the 24th day of this challenge.

I started off with 3 coats of L.A. Colors Wired, then painted my sunflowers using a Kiss striper in Beach Yelloe, Pure Ice Vintage Glam for my outline, and used China Glaze Call of the Wild and my Orly Striper in Jet Black for the center of the sunflowers.

Here is L.A. Colors Wired all by itself!

30 Day Flower Challenge Day 17: Lavender

Good evening! For lavender, I decided to keep it simple and just do some very basic nail art with a dotting tool and striper. I don't have much to say about this mani. School starts up again today, so I'm back to my rushed ways. Take a look!

I used Essie Play Date for my base, the used Julep Eden for the lavender and added my stems with a striper using a nameless green polish from L.A. Colors that I won in a giveaway from datyorkLOVES - thanks Dahlia! Here is Essie Play Date all by itself.

So there you have it. I'll have a post up later tonight. I'm still on my endless quest to get caught up - haha.
Make sure to take a look at what the others have done for this challenge!

30 Day Flower Challenge Day 16: Iris

Good evening! I am trying to get caught up with this challenge, but it is SO hard. I'm just not cut out to do a mani a day. After this is through, I am reverting back to only one or two manis a week. I miss having the same mani on both hands. Lately, I've been rocking two different manis at a time, and I would just like to look normal again for once! For this mani, I decided to just draw a single iris on one nail as an accent. On the other fingers, I used butter LONDON Shambolic.

On my accent nail, I started off with three coats of butter LONDON Fairy Cake, then drew on my iris using Pure Ice French Love Affair, Vintage Glam, and Super Star!, L.A. Colors Tropical Breeze, Zoya Pippa, and Revlon Posh.

Here are the butter LONDON polishes on their own - so pretty! I am SO in love with these polishes. I wish I was rich so I could have a whole room for nailpolish and have every single polish from butter LONDON!

Laid-Back NEW31DC Day 29 - Inspired By A Blogger

Well...what a tough decision. There are so many bloggers that I love to follow, so I really couldn't figure out who I wanted to use for my inspiration on this one. I was catching up on my blogs this past weekend, and suddenly got my inspiration from a bloggers background. This is a blog that I have been faithfully reading for over a year now and I hope you will be able to guess who it is!

Alright, well if you couldn't guess, it is Rebecca from Rebecca Likes Nails! Her background on her blog is so cute, represents her well with the purple and the bow, and looks great as nail art. :)

I used L.A. Colors Tropical Breeze as my base for this manicure, then used Pure Ice SuperStar! to add dots. I used Cheeky Plate B09 to stamp a bow on each finger using Konad Special White, then colored in the bows with Pure Ice Black Rage. Hope you like this, Rebecca! :)

I hope you like this one. I think it turned out really cute! Make sure you take a look at what every one else did.

30 Day Flower Challenge Day 9: Curly Willow

Good evening! I have for you tonight, my mani for day 9 of the 30 Day Flower Challenge. This is my interpretation of the curly willow. I decided to go for a spa-like feel. I'll let you decide whether I hot that mark or not.

I started of with Sephora by OPI Caught With My Khakis Down, then I used China Glaze Call Of The Wild for the branches and L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Bright Green.

Here is a picture of Caught With My Khakis Down all by itself. I got this for my birthday - yay!

Eh. This is not my most favorite manicure, but there will be a new one tomorrow, so oh well. Make sure you look at what the others have done for this challenge!
