40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Winter

I decided to focus on wintry colors for this mani instead of snowflakes since I just did a snowflake manicure last week. So, I made some decals using CICI&SISI plate 23, and I really love the way they came out.

I started off with Butter London Scouse for my base. It is a lovely blue shimmer that shifts purple. My camera didn't capture the purple, but I promise you, it is there. :) I made my decals using Mundo de Unas Holland Blue, and filled in the little flower/star in the center using Julep Kris. I added Pretty & Polished The Sky Is Falling to the diamond around the center.

Here is what Scouse looks like on its own. It is quite thin, so this is about 3-4 thin coats with 1 coat of Out The Door topcoat.

Make sure you check out every one's winter manicures!

Thanksgiving/Fall Nailart

Hi everyone! I have some Turkey Day nailart for you today. It is really just a fall manicure, but it feels festive to me! Since I have lots to do, this is going to be a short post - mostly pics!

I used Butter London Chuffed for my base, then stamped over top using Mundo de Unas Yellow and Reddish. The stamp I used for the leaves pattern is Bundle Monster's BM-H11. The acorn was a fail, but there is no time for  a redo. I made the mistake of not testing it out first, and the brown polish I tried to use was no good...so I just stamped over top with a different brown thinking I could line it up, but I was sorely mistaken! Haha! The acorn image is from BM-H12.

Here is what Chuffed looks like on it's own. So much lovely gold shimmer peaking through this orange jelly! This is three thin coats.

Thank you so much for looking. Have a happy Thanksgiving, and I will be back this weekend!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Orange, Purple, & Green

Woo happy Friday! It's week 4 of The Crumpet's Nail Tart's latest challenge, and we are all sporting manis with orange, purple, and green polish. Since it is so close to Halloween, I decided to create a sponged base and stamp over top with Halloween images in black.

I used the "splodge" technique with Butter London Chuffed, Stroppy, and Dosh. I randomly sponged them all on, until my base looked like this.

I stamped over top using Konad Special Black and images from BM-XL29 and BM-H07.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Make sure you check out what everyone else did this week using these three colors!

Purple & Gold Stamping

Hi everyone. I did a quick stamping mani for Stamping Saturday. I got some new plates from Bundle Monster recently, so I thought I play a bit with some of the images. I used Butter London Stroppy for my base - my husband picked it out. :) Then, I stamped over top using Julep Sienna and BM-XL174.

It came out pretty nice, although I struggled a bit with my placement. Oh well, I'm putting one of those clear jelly stampers on my Christmas list. Hopefully Santa brings it. ;)

This is what Butter London Stroppy looks like on its own. It's a lovely bright, shimmery purple. I did two coats here and a coat of Out The Door topcoat.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you check out what everyone else did for their Stamping Saturday manis!

Unicorns & Glitter! Progressive Nail Art

I did some nail art inspired by Progressive Insurance and Flo again! This was for an event at work, and I'm so much more stoked on this one than I was on my first Progressive nail art attempt. I have definitely improved since then. :)

I used my limited edition Zoya polish - Progressive Blue for the base. I was so excited when I got this polish. I actually bought two of these with the intention of giving one away to one of my lovely readers...but unfortunately, when I opened up the bottle to start painting this mani, I discovered this.

The other bottle is, thankfully, intact, but I used it, and can't bring myself to part with it. :( So...a giveaway will not be happening at this point unless I can get my hands on another bottle. We shall see. Anyway, on to the nail art! After painting my base, I stamped on a few images. The unicorn image is from Mash-39, and the dots and chevrons are from BM-423. I used Konad Special White for all of the stamping and freehand images. I freehanded Flo's silhouette and the P. I really wanted to include the unicorns and glitter because it is one of my favorite flo-isms. So, you know I had to add some glitter. I used Butter London Chuffed and Zoya Snowsicle to add a little sparkle. The orange dots on my little finger are Zoya Arizona. I added a little gem at the cuticle on the nail with the unicorn because I thought that Flo would probably do the same thing, lol.

Here is what Progressive Blue looks like on it's own. It's super pretty and bright. Oh, and the formula is fantastic too. It's super opaque - a one coater! I haven't tried yet, but I'm thinking this will be great for stamping!

This one was super fun to do. I loved that I finally got to use the LE polish I bought. If I end up being able to get another bottle, that giveaway I hinted at on instagram will happen. I'll let you all know! Thank you so much for looking. I'll have some sweet new nail art for you guys in a couple days! ;)

Purple Smoosh Mani + Stamping

Hi everyone and happy Saturday! I have just arrived at the beautiful east coast! You won't be hearing anything from me on social media for a week (except MAYBE on ig, maybe), but I have lots of posts scheduled, so make sure you check back here once in a while to see what's new! Today, I am fulfilling the prompt for the second half of August from my stamping group on facebook. I was super excited about this one because it involves purple (YAY!), and a new to me process called "smoosh". Ooh I'm so excited. Check it out!

For this mani, I used OPI Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm?, Butter London Stroppy, Zoya Dannii, and Sally Hansen Purple Craze and then smooshed them all together using this method.

The stamping plate I used for this was CICI&SISI 24. I am actually wearing this one as my vacation mani so I have it on BOTH hands! Chances are it won't make it all the way through vacation, so I'm bringing some polishes with me in case of a nail emergency (or you know...just because I like change!).

Thank you so much for checking out today's post. Have a great day!

Go Cavs! - Game 5 Nailart

Today is game 5 of the NBA Finals, and we could not be any more excited and proud of our Cavaliers this year! It's funny because I don't usually care about sports at all, but I guess all that changes when you finally have a team you can get excited about. I used to adore basketball when I was age 8-13 or so, and that was mostly because I grew up outside of Chicago at the height of the Michael Jordan magic era. :)

I did this mani using Pure Ice Vintage as my base and then I drew everything in freehand using Julep Coco and Butter London Royal Navy and a small nail art brush.

Go Cavs! Thank you so much for reading - I'll be back in a couple days with a new mani.

Lotus Nailart over Butter London Airy Fairy

Hey guys! I'm traveling, so this will be my last post for about a week. I did some pretty lotus inspired nailart yesterday that I wanted to share for my stamping group's challenge this week, which is "inspired by your favorite flower". I have a hard time naming a favorite flower, but I really do love the lotus (and even have a tattoo on my back of some lotus blossoms!), so I picked this image as I had never used it before.

I started off with three thin coats of Butter London Airy Fairy, then stamped my image using Mash-35 (I removed the parts below the blossom using tape before I placed each image on my nail) and Konad Special White polish. After that, I thinned out Nicole by OPI Pros and Confidence and Zoya Pippa to color in the flower.

This is what Airy Fairy looks like by itself. It is super pretty. I have had a lot of comments on it even though I have only had it on for about 3 days now. The formula was perfect, as always. :)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! I am in the beautiful state of Virginia for a long weekend and will try to have a post by the end of next week. Have a great weekend everyone!

Butterfly Manicure with MoYou Pro XL 05

Hi everyone! Today I have a recreation of a mani by Kitt at The Cat's Claws. For this week's stamping plate challenge, I had to recreate someone else's mani using the plate I selected at the beginning of the month. After looking around online, I decided I liked her nailart the best. :)

I did not have the same nail polish colors that she had, but I had a bunch that were similar enough to make it work. I used Julep Melanie and Mahima, Butter London Knees Up, and COS BAR Orange.

I sponged on the colors in the same pattern, then stamped the butterfly wing pattern over top using Konad Special Black polish. After that, I added my dots with Konad Special White and a dotting tool.

Thank you so much for looking. I'll be back in a couple of days with my negative space mani for the 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge. :)

52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge - Purple + Hearts

Hi everyone. I finished this mani a couple of days ago, and had hoped to have it posted for Valentine's Day, but lately I just don't feel like taking pictures, or going through the photos, or adding my watermark, or any of that nonsense really. I just want o paint my nails and have them magically show up online here. *sigh* Anyway, I played with a pretty purple from Butter London, and one of my new stamping plates from Bundle Monster for this one!

The base is Butter London Stroppy. I stamped over it using Konad Special White and Bundle Monster plate BM-411, and then I carefully painted over the white using Pure Ice Busted. It is a super sheer purple shimmer. Here is what it looked like before I added Busted over top.

I like it both ways, but you can never have too much purple! ;) Here is what Butter London Stroppy looks like by itself. It is a super rich, shimmery, purple. I really like it!

Thank you so much for looking! Make sure you check out what everyone else did for this challenge!

52 Week Pick n Mix - Fishbraid + Non-Glitter Topper

You all know I am too lazy (busy???) to do more than one mani for the 52 Week Pick n Mix lately, so I combined the prompts yet again. I have been so slammed with work lately, I have had very little time to think about my blog. Hopefully I can figure out how to get that under control. Anyway, I decided I wanted to use a combination of old and new non-glitter toppers of the iridecent variety over top of solid black in my mani this week.

I accomplished this look by painting my nails with 2 coats of Wet n Wild Black Creme, and then used striping tape to mask out my fishbraid design. I painted in each section with the three colors I picked, alternating them as I went.

Here are what the three polishes look like in the bottles. It's crazy how much some of them change once painted over black. Butter London Petrol is the blue, Pro Strong Enchanted is the pink, and green is Loreal The Temptress' Power (I know, right!?). That last one is the most shocking transformation out of them all.

I hope you like my mani this week! Make sure you check out what everyone else did for this challenge. :)

Snowflake Mani

I'm back with a winter manicure for you today! Winter is in full swing here, and we have snow and cold, so I was excited to do this snowflake prompt for my stamping group on facebook. I like the snow, but I'm not a fan of the cold that comes along with it. ;) I do love how pretty and sparkly the snow looks at night with the moon shining on it, though, so I tried to mimic that with my mani.

I have another butter LONDON polish to show off today called Big Smoke. It is a dark, grey-leaning blue polish with a lovely shimmer. To achieve this look, I used two coats of Big Smoke, then added one coat of Nubar White Polka Dot (this is a cool glitter topper with tiny and medium sized opalescent, white glitters in a clear base).

After that, I added my snowflake stamping using Red Angel plate RA-119, Bundle Monster plate BM14 and a plate I received from kkcenterhk for review last year, B61. I smeared the darn thing when I decided to put Northern Lights on top and didn't use Seche Vite first.

Here is what butter LONDON Big Smoke looks like all by itself. This is two coats plus a coat of Seche Vite.

Hooray for pretty snow, and pretty snow-filled manis! Check out the links below to see everyone's snowflake manis!
