Hi guys! This week we are showing off various ways to wear three shades of purple at once. I'm actually pretty displeased with this one, but ah well. I should have tested it out on paper first and I didn't! You would think I would have learned my lesson by now, but apparently, I have not. :D Anyway, I used three purple polishes I had not yet used, including a new glitter from Different Dimension that I bought myself at Christmas.
Unfortunately, I made a bad choice about one of the polishes and it didn't layer well at all. Sally Hansen Purple Craze looked like a bright purple cream, but went on over the glitter a dark terrible mess. :( Oh why didn't I test it out first??? Well, anyway, I painted my nails using Different Dimension Wars Would Never Start first, then I taped off sections and painted over top using Milani Ultra Violet and Sally Hansen Purple Craze. Even though it didn't quite go as planned, there is a lot of purple-y goodness happening here, so I can't complain too much.
Here is what Wars Would Never Start looks like on it's own. It's a gorgeous dark purple-black jelly packed with tiny metallic purple glitters, tiny silver squares, and various purple hex glitters. It's a great mix of lots of different purple sparkles, so I love it of course. I did two coats here to reach opacity.
Thank you as always for taking the time to read my blog. Make sure you take a look at what everyone else did with their three purples! this one is bound to be full of beautiful manis!

Breast Cancer Awareness Stamping
My manicure today is in support of breast cancer awareness month, but I have to point out that with all of the awareness being spread throughout the media, no one needs my manicure to help make them more aware of breast cancer. So, let's just call this a cancer awareness manicure. It is in support of all people who have had or will have cancer, and those who have been lost to it. Let's all be more aware of all of the changes in our bodies, and get our annual physicals, and speak up if something is strange, even if it is embarrassing or hard to talk about. And let's all remember that breast cancer isn't the only form of cancer out there. There are lots of people every day suffering from the more rare cancers, and other diseases that don't get any attention at all. Breast cancer research gets plenty of funding already, but I am not trying to diminish the hard work of others here. I just want to give my support to everyone who needs it. :) So, here is my pink manicure.
I do not have a ribbon stamp, so I went with the pink shade that most associate with breast cancer awareness. This is Nicole by O.P.I. Be Ama-Zing!. I did my first stamping with Milani She's So Glitzy using MoYou London Sailor plate 07. I added roses using Red Angel plate RA-115 and Maybelline WC135. It's a really old polish and has no name other than that number that I know of. Here is what it looked like before I added the roses.
Here is what Be Ama-Zing! looks like by itself. It is a perfect girly pink and went on in two smooth coats.
I did this manicure as part of a stamping challenge for Stamp One, Stamp All Ten. Thank you so much for looking today and make sure you check out what everyone else did!

30 Day Flower Challenge Day 13: Gardenia
Today's post has to be quick, so I'll let the pictures do the talking. These are supposed to be gardenias. Hopefully it looks a bit like it to you! I used Sinful Colors Last Chance for the base and painted to gardenias using Pure Ice SuperStar! and Milani Angel Pink.
Here is Last Chance by itself. I think I might have shown it on here before, but I couldn't remember. :P
Thanks for looking and take a peek at what the others have done!

Laid-Back NEW31DC Day 3 - Gold
For this manicure, I basically pulled out every gold polish I own and did a mosaic style mani with them. It was fun to see how all the different golds look together, and I really like how this one turned out. It was one of those few times when my indecisiveness was a good thing. Take a look!
For this mani, I used Loreal Because You're Worth It, Avon Gleaming Gold, Julep Sienna & Vivien, Milani Gold Glitz, China Glaze I Herd That, Sephora by OPI Blasted Gold, L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Gold Glitter, Essie As Gold As It Gets, OPI Goldeneye, and two of my Migi Nail Art Pens which don't have names.
Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out what everyone else did!

10 Day Holiday Nail Art Challenge - Day 1 - Silver and Gold
Silver and gold, silver and gold, means so much more when I seeeeeee silver and gold decorationssss on eeeevery Chriiiiiiistmas treeeeeeeeeee. :) Yay! Day one of the 10 Day Holiday Nail Art Challenge is of course, Silver and Gold, so I did a simple design inspired by one of the Christmas ornaments on our tree.
The base for this is NYC Tribeca Silver and I used Milani Gold Glitz for the design, then filled in the center with Julep Harley. Here is NYC Tribeca Silver all by itself. This is one of my favorite silvers. It's so sparkly!
Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out what the rest of the group did!

Nail-Aween Nail Art Challenge - Any Halloween Inspired Mani
It's day ten of the Nail-Aween Nail Art Challenge, which came at a really bad time for me, so this is not the most impressive mani ever, but hey it's done. And just barely on time. Take a look.
So, I wanted to do a black & red manicure with some sort of nail art. By the time I finished the gradient, I just really didn't have time to draw anything on there, so this is all you get. I thought the gradient was pretty, so I'm kind of glad that I didn't draw anything over it. I used Nicole by OPI Sealed With A Kris and Milani Garnet Gems for the gradient. Here is a pic of Sealed With A Kris all by itself. It wasn't pretty. It's a great color, but after three coats it was still this streaky.
Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out the other participants in this challenge!

So much goodness: Nude Nails, Nail Mail, and Extra $$!
I had asked on my facebook page if there were any people interested in seeing some nude/neutral nails I did for a job interview recently. I got two 'likes', so that was enough for me to decide to do a post for you all! :) I'll follow up with a fun mani for tomorrow, I promise.
Also, I received my package in the mail from Marnie at ambianceshop.com, and the Nubar is even more beautiful in real life than it looked on the web. I can't wait to share it with you all - maybe sometime next week.
AND, to top it all off, I won a contest at work and got a bunch of money! Being awesome at your job pays off, people! I am going to be responsible and only allow myself to spend 1/3 of it on stuff for me, which means I will try to stretch it as far as it can go. The rest will have to go toward groceries and other boring things because I'm on a budget! Without further ado, here are my nude nails.
This is Milani Angel Pink and it is a very pretty, very sheer, pale pink. It is still sheer at 3 coats here, but looks very plain and professional - perfect for an interview!
Here's another pic - without the flash. It got really bubbly during application - I was in a rush, so it may have been due to user error. As you can see, the bottle is nearly half empty. This has been my go to polish for understated nails for a few years now.
Here is a lovely pic of my awesome new Nubar!
Hooray for candy! I can never have too much of that, just like I can never have too much nail polish. :)
Thanks for looking! I'll post tomorrow, or Sunday morning with my Copy Cat Sat mani + a surprise mani that you will just have to wait for! :)

Milani One Coat Glitter - Gold Glitz
Out of all my new polishes, I had to try this one out first, so I have a couple of pictures to share. Overall, it is a very nice color. I feel like it doesn't look so great with my skin color, but it would be gorgeous on someone with darker skin. As far as the glitter goes, though, it's awesome! It went on very smoothly and the picture I'm about to share is just one coat. It covered very well in just one coat and I probably won't have it on for long, so I didn't bother to do a second coat or even add topcoat. Take a look!
Here's a close-up picture of the bottle. There are two different colors in there. One is a classic yellowy gold, and the other is closer to bronze.
Here you can see the different colors better. Overall a really nice polish. They had a bunch of different colors, so I may need to get more. :)
