40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Mint Green & The Lacquer Ring - Seafoam

Good morning! I am combining prompts today, you guys because I just can't seem to find enough time to blog lately. And I lucked out because the prompts matched enough. Yay! So, seafoam and mint. I feel like they are practically the same color. They are, right??? Anyway, here is what I came up with.

This mint/seafoam camo manicure is all freehand. And...I don't know why the pictures came out so bad, but they did. By the time I had uploaded them to add my watermarks, it was already chipping, so it was too late to retake photos. Hey, sometimes that happens. But seriously, you can tell what's going on here. And it doesn't look bad in the smaller photos. :P I used Hello Kitty Minty, Wet n Wild Tree Hugger, and NYC Tudor City Teal for this. I just drew various blobby shapes. Hey, turns out camo is pretty easy!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please make sure you check out what my fellow bloggers did for these prompts!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Music

Good afternoon! I am a little behind with this post because I was struggling for inspiration. I ended up just going through my nail polish rack of untried colors, trying to find my inspiration there, when I came across this beauty and was immediately inspired.

This is Bear Pawlish Poor Unfortunate Souls. Now you all know I love The Little Mermaid. As soon as I picked up this bottle and saw the title, I started singing the song to myself and realized it was perfect. I decided to paint some poor unfortunate souls on my nails! I used only 4 additional colors for this: Pure Ice Black Rage and Superstar!, Zoya Wednesday, and Sephora by OPI Caught With My Khakis Down.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret that only my hubby and a few of my closest friends know: I have a Disney playlist on Spotify and I blast that thing while I'm sitting in my nail nook painting my nails and sing along loudly. I even listen to it (with headphones) while I am working. It always cheers me up. :P

So there you have it, my music inspired nails. Make sure you check out what everyone else did for this prompt!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Floral

Hi everyone! Today, I have some floral nailart for you as part of this week's nail art challenge. I decided to go with some stamping and dotting since I am struggling with time management lately. :P

I used Heather's Hues It's Witchcraft for my base. It's a really pretty purple with blue shimmer. I stamped using Mundo de Unas Yellow and Cici&Sisi plate 19, then added dots in the center of each flower using Zoya Kimber, and Pretty & Polished Aquaholic and Appletini.

Here is what It's Witchcraft looks like on it's own. It is quite thin and sheer, so I ended up doing 4 coats for this. I probably could have stopped at 3, but added another coat after I accidentally smushed a nail. :)

Thank you so much for looking at my blog today. Please make sure you check out what all the other ladies did for this week's prompt!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Animals

Hi everyone. I wanted to do something springy and cute for my birthday (which was Tuesday), so I decided to play around with some stamping, and made some decals to put on my nails using a bunch of Bundle Monster plates that I have. Take a look at these precious fawns! Eeeep!

I created these by stamping multiple layers and creating decals from one of the stamps. It was a multi-step process, haha! First, I painted my nails using Potion Polish Twilight Bonfire because it was my birthday and I wanted purple holo on my nails. :D Then, I stamped on the leaves in the background using Mundo de Unas Green and BM-703. After that, I stamped on another layer using Mundo de Unas Avocado and BM-706 and let that dry. While that was drying, I created decals using BM-702's little deer image with Mundo de Unas Caramel, and painted the back of the deer white. This was so that the brown color would be brighter, and so that the little white spots would show through. Once my decals were dried enough, I cut them to size and put them over the whole design. After that, it was just a layer of topcoat and I was done. Love my little Bambis!!!

Now, here is what Twilight Bonfire looks like on it's own. Such a gorgeous purple! And so much holo goodness I couldn't stop looking at these in the sun! The polish formula was great too. This is two smooth coats. No dragging or pulling, just perfection. :)

Thank you so much for stopping to read my blog today. I'm still struggling a bit to get back into blogging after my 3 weeks off, but after today, I know I do like it. I like painting my nails and creating a little more than I like the blogging part, but it turns out I still like the blogging, too. :P Have a great day everyone!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - 3 Shades of Green

Good afternoon and happy Saturday! It occurs to me that I failed to post last week's manicure up on this blog. I don;t know what I was thinking, but I guess I was very sidetracked. Anyway, I am back, and this week I have a very green manicure. I did not intend for it to look like a Spring manicure initially, but it sort of came out that way anyway. :D

I started off this manicure with a white base. Then I used the watercolor technique (using acetone to thin the polish and let the colors bleed together) with Revlon Posh, Sinful Colors Last Chance, and Sally Hansen Perfect Pear-ing. Here is what it looked like.

After that, I used Konad Special Black and CICI&SISI plate 05 to add the swirling leafy pattern to each nail. I really love the result!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my art today, and please make sure you look at all the other green manicures as well! There are some really great ones!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaid Tails and Drunken Sails Swatches and Review

 *PR Sample
Good morning! I have a new polish to show off from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer which she created recently for the Hella Holo Customs group. It's a private facebook group, but if you would like to join so that you can get your hands on this beauty, just follow the instructions at the end of this post! Mermaid Tails and Drunken sails is a gorgeous shimmer-filled linear holo with shifting iridecent glitters and red to gold shifting sparks. It seriously looks exactly like what Ariel's tail would look like in real life. Squuueeee! Now you all know I have a thing for mermaids and particular The Little Mermaid. Love that movie so so so much, so this polish with hold a special place in my heart for that simple fact alone!

This is only available for preorder through 7pm today, so hurry hurry hurry if you want to get it!

I did two coats here, with no topcoat. It dried to a satiny finish, and is pretty thick. Julie created this polish so that it could be a one to two coater, so be mindful that you will need to wait for the first coat to fully dry before you go for that second coat to prevent dragging!

I took so many pictures of this because it seriously looks different from every angle! Check out these bottle shots to see what I mean. Ooooooohhhh ahhhhhhhh! Oh I just love all the sparkle!

There is also a pink (Holomelon) and purple (Atalanta) with the same finish in the collection that you can find swatched all over the internet. They are gorgeous. Get them while you can ladies!

We got some sun after I took most of my photos, so I have a few phone pics for you of this one, too, so you can see the lovely linear holo a bit better!

I will be back in a couple days with another mani for you, and hopefully some nail art!

Born Pretty Store - Clear Jelly Stamper Review & Floral Nail Art

Hello! Today, I have some stamping nail art using the clear jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store. They sent me this stamper with a few other items to review, and I could not have been more excited to receive this particular item. I have seen so many other people use it, and I was super stoked to be able to test it out for myself.

It's funny, I was so excited to try it, but once I had it in my possession, I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it. I decided to ultimately just show how much easier it was to get perfect placement with it (you all know I have messed that up more than once!). I started off with two coats of KleanKolor Wave of Peppermint, then used this stamper to place a floral pattern over my nail using MoYou Pro XL-12 and Mundo de Unas Mexican Pink. After that, I used the stamper again to place the rose image from CICI&SISI plate 24 and Mundo de Unas purple. I was able to place it in the same location and angle on each nail. No way could I have placed it so well if I couldn't see it like I can with this stamper. So, basically, I love it!

It arrived with a scraper as well, and I found that the scraper was not that great. I like that it's plastic and not metal, but It left stripes of polish over the image that picked up on the stamper, so I had to switch back to my old trusty scraper.

Here is what Wave of Peppermint looks like on it's own. It is a scented polish, and as you can imagine, smells like peppermint.

I have a discount code for Born Pretty Store to share with you, too. If you haven't already gotten one, do yourself a favor and buy one. It will be 10% off and it's already pretty inexpensive!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great day. I'll be back on Friday!

Rainbow Honey December 2015 Mystery Bag

Good morning and happy hump day! :D Today, I finally have my Rainbow Honey mystery bag from December! They changed up their packaging a little bit - look at how cute the bag is that this came in!

I received two polishes, a mini perfume, and a little tub of shea and cocoa butter for my thirsty skin! I swatched both polishes and added a bit of stamping just to mix things up a little.

First, I have Majestic Bluewhale. Look at the gorgeous blue shimmer magical colors! It truly is majestic and is very reminiscent of ocean water. Below, I added a little bit of stamping using BM-XL25 and Mundo de Unas Spring Green.

Next up, we have Rainbow Honey Smokey Creme. This polish was a bit disappointing. It was terribly separated when it arrived, and no matter how much I shook it, rolled it, etc., it just would not mix back up. So, as you can see in my swatch, there were tiny specks of white where the white had separated itself from the color. I added some pretty stamping anyway. :D This is plate BPL-028 and Mundo de Unas Nabu.

Thank you so much for looking! I am already swatching my January mystery bag. I fell super behind with my blogging over the holiday. /(><)\ I'm trying to get back at it, and have soooo many manis done and just waiting to post! Anyway, I'll be back Friday for the Nail Tarts' challenge. Yay!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Pale Blue Base

Good morning lovelies and happy Friday! Woooo! I got so many new polishes for Christmas, my head is spinning over here trying to wear them all as fast as possible. For this mani, I decided that I would wear a new Cirque (and my first Cirque!) that was gifted to me by Amy from The Fancy Side for winning a nail art contest around Halloween (so not Christmas, but I HAD to wear it with all my other new holos from Christmas!). It is a light blue holographic polish and it is BEAUTIFUL. I did some simple stamping using swirling patters from my new CICI&SISI plates (yay Christmas!). These swirly images are from plates 02 & 05.

Oh I wish that it wasn't so dreary here. I tried flash, no flash, 5 different types of light, a flashlight, and nothing seemed to help my camera capture the holo goodness. Wahhhhhh! Anyway, the Cirque polish is called Cabana Capri, and I stamped over top of it using Bear Pawlish Poor Unfortunate Souls and Cupcake Polish Berry Good Looking. This mani looked so much more amazing in real life. I can't even express how much sparkle and rainbow was happening.

Here is what Cabana Capri looked like on it's own. The holo is so much better than my camera shows. :( I only did two coats here, which is really good for a holo in my opinion.

I've decided that all these holos are going to have to wait until the sun decides to show itself again. And then I shall re-swatch Cirque, and swatch all of the other ones I got (there are SOOO many haha!) and share them with you properly. Thank you so much for checking out my mani for this week. Make sure you look at all the other lovely pale blue manis!

Stamping Plate Review - hehe 060 - Christmas Nailart

Good morning! Today, I have a review post for product I received from LadyQueen to review. They sent me several items, including 2 stamping plates and new nail art brushes. I am reviewing one of those plates today since it has a Christmas theme! This is hehe 060. It's filled with lots of Christmas sweater-type patterns and other cute Christmasy shapes.

I stamped with it over top of Different Dimension Static Vision using Mundo de Unas Reddish and Konad Special White. I had a hard time getting the white to transfer well, but since the red was fine, I think it's the polish and not the plate.

Here is what Different Dimension Static Vision looks like on it's own. It's totally gorgeous, and if the sun had cooperated, you could have seen that it is also a linear holo. I did two coats here. It's a green jelly filled with scattered holographic glitters as well.

If you like this plate, you can purchase it here. LadyQueen has also generously provided a coupon code for my followers, so feel free to use this code to receive 15% off your order: WEBS15. Thank you so much for stopping by to read my blog today! I hope you enjoyed this Christmas nailart! I'll be back after the holiday with some New Year's nails!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Christmas

Hi lovelies! I have a busy day today, so I'll be keeping this short and sweet. ;) I did a little tree pattern across my nails using a pretty new red I received from Kayla at Creative Cuticles for my base.

The trees and stars were painted using Revlon Posh and Sinful Colors Chalk It Up. I used one of my new tiny paintbrushes from Lady Queen, which I will talk about more in my next post. They are great so far.

This is what Creative Cuticles A Great Red looks like on it's own. It's a red jelly filled with red metallic hex glitters. I used two coats here, and may have needed one more coat for true opacity, but I knew I was painting over about it, so I didn't bother. ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm off to run a million errands, bake cookies, meet my FIRST nephew, and then celebrate my friends, Josh and Michael's wedding! Make sure you take a look at all the other fabulous Christmas manis!
