Good morning! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Today we all have some hot pink nails to share with you - so many things you can do with a hot pink polish. :) I did some fan brush art. The 3 polishes I used are all very different to me, haha, but you can barely see the difference in the mani.
I used Spoiled Tip Your Waitress, China Glaze Glow With The Flow, and Julep Madison over Pure Ice SuperStar! (white). They blended together well with the fan brush to create a barbie pink mani that is fun for the first official weekend of Summer!
Make sure you take a look at all the other fabulous hot pink manis!

52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge - 1960s + Matte
This week's prompt for the 52 Week Pick n Mix challenge is 1960s + matte or texture. I decided to go with a matte 1960s look for this one. I might show off some previously unswatched textured polish later in the week, too, if I have time. For this manicure, I used a fabric pattern I found online while looking for some 1960s inspiration. I didn't recreate it exactly, but I did try to use the same colors at least.
My base for this manicure is Spoiled I Only Eat Salads. The flowers and leaves were done using Nicole by O.P.I. Pros And Confidence, NYC High Line Green, Pure Ice Vintage Glam, and Konad Special White. After I finished my nails, I added Essie Matte About You. This is a closeup of my favorite nail - my index finger. :)
Here is what this manicure looked like before I mattified it.
Here is what Spoiled I Only Eat Salads looks like on it's own. This is two coats.
Thank you so much for looking, and make sure you check out what everyone else did for their 1960s manicures!

Golden Oldie Thursday - Ruffle Manicure
Good morning! Look at me being all on-time and stuff. Who would have thought it?! Anyway, I have a cutesy ruffle mani for you today - the first one I have ever done! Each color used in the manicure is not TOO old, but I've definitely had all of them for over 1 year and still haven't really used them.
The white is Confetti Wedding White - it's on the thin side, but went on thick enough since I was using a dotting tool. The green is Spoiled I Only Eat Salads - this one is an odd color, but works great in this combination. The grey is China Glaze Elephant Walk - it's a nice grey with a very subtle gold shimmer. And last, the pink is Wet n Wild Dream Poppy. I love all of these colors together. They make me think of spring!
I hope you like my mani today - please make sure you look at what everyone else did!

Neons To Kiss The Summer Goodbye
I actually did this manicure a pretty long time ago, but looking at them makes me realize that summer is over, school is back in full swing, and I have to get back in a good routine.
I started this mani with a coat of white, then sponged on my neons in Julep Abbie and Mackenzie, Spoiled Did I Dye It Too Blonde? and Permission To Proceed, and China Glaze Ride The Waves splodgerama style. Then, I stamped over it using Konad Special White and the plate I used was Mash-39.
I loved this mani, and wore it for a full week before it was so chipped that I had to part with it. I hope you all enjoyed this post! I'll be back in another week or so with more! :)

Nail-Aween Nail Art Challenge - Frankenstein
It's day six of the Nail-Aween Nail Art Challenge, and I have a Frankenstein-inspired mani for you today. I call it Franken-Mani! This was one really fun, and I don't want to remove it, but I have 4 more manis to get in before 10/31. :)
I started out with a different color on each finger, and then added additional colors/topcoats in sections. After that, I used my Orly striper in Jet Black to make the "stitches". I used Sally Hansen Pronto Purple, Pure Ice Wild Thing, Orly Sunset Peach, L.A. Colors Current, Sinful Colors Last Chance, Zoya Arizona, Spoiled Jail Bait, and Nubar Black Polka Dot. :) I love love LOVE the way this mani turned out! Here are a few pics of base colors before I added my nail art, so you can see what they look like by themselves.
Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out the other participants in this challenge!

Day 2 (July 3rd) of the Summer Challenge is Picnic. I decided to go with a July 4th-themed picnic to celebrate the holiday. I'll admit, I had a hard time getting inspired for this one. So, here is my take on Picnic Nails.
- Pure Ice Super Star!
- Nicole by OPI Sealed With A Kris
- Julep America
- Pure Ice Black Rage
- China Glaze Four Leaf Clover
- Spoiled I Only Eat Salads
- Sally Hansen Hi-Def
- Misa What A Wonderful Day
- Cover Girl Espresso
Here are a few more pictures, and my thumb so you can see it better.

Summer Challenge Day 1 - Bees
Theodora from Red Hair and Black Nail Polish and Kaki from GlitterObsession
put together a Summer Challenge for the month of July! They came up
with some fun ideas and it's an every-other- day nail art challenge. I'm
pretty excited as this is going to be the first nail art challenge I do
where I have a deadline. I'm not very good at those when it comes to
nail art (I'm sure you have noticed my Copy Cat Sat's are Copy Cat Sun's
a lot of the time), so we'll see what happens. :)
Day 1 (July 1st) is Bees. Here is my take on Bee Nails.
So what do you think? I didn't even know where to start on this one, but I always like to use new polishes that I haven't tried yet. This time I started with Sally Hansen Pixel Pretty for my base - it was one of my only untried blues, so I felt the need to use it. After that, I painted on my flowers and bees with a small paint brush and my new dotting tools. I used so many colors for this, I'll just list them out:
- Sally Hansen Pixel Pretty
- Pure Ice Super Star!
- Sally Hansen Lite
- Spoiled I Only Eat Salads
- NYC Taxi Yellow Creme
- NYC Uptown
- NYC High Line Green
- Spoiled Pretty In Punk
- Julep Brooke
- Priti NYC Red Ace Rose
- Salon Perfect Tangy Tangerine
- COS BAR (no name purple)
- Pure Ice Black Rage

Copy Cat Wed
Late again, but better late than never, right?! Today, I have a manicure that is probably what first inspired me to start blogging my own nail art. I saw this on Pinterest, and then instantly became addicted to this blog. Chloe's Nails has some of the best tape manis I have seen, and now that I have it down, I decided to take on something a bit more challenging. She calls this a 'quilted mani'. I used different colors for mine, but kept the same general concept. Take a look!

Here is a closeup of my thumb. I'm really happy with how this turned out.
I realized after I finished that it would have been way easier if I had started with the triangle at the tip of the nail. This way I could have seen the lines of my 'x' and ensured that they were centered. When I attempt this one again, I will definitely try it that way to get it to look more perfect.

10 Day/Week Challenge - Inspired by a Book...Cover
For this mani, I spent a long time thinking about some of the books I've read over the past few years that I really enjoyed, and tried to come up with some nail art ideas. As I was looking at my copy of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, I was inspired by the cover. I think the design turned out to be pretty cool. I painted my nails yellow first with Spoiled Did I Dye It Too Blond? and then stamped over it very randomly with Color Club Twiggie. For this I used Mash-43 and Mash-49. That doesn't really matter so much as I only took bits and pieces from the stamps with the thin lines and actually tried not to use the whole image. After that I did the same thing using just Mash-49 with Spoiled Jail Bait. I think it turned out pretty cool. Take a look!
Here is an image of the book I used as my inspiration.
Overall, I am pretty happy with this one. The colors matched the book cover pretty well, and I had fun doing it. Thanks for looking!

Blog Hop & A Little Stamping Over Yesterday's Mani
I am participating in a blog hop and have already discovered a couple
of new blogs that look like they are going to become some of my
favorites! To join in on the blog hop, visit Island Girl Insights.
I decided my gradient looked too boring after the initial excitement of success wore off. :) I decided it was time to play with some of my new Mash plates. This is Mash-45 stamped in white over my gradient from yesterday.
Oh also, I tested out an image from Mash-42 over this gradient on my thumb and I totally hate it. It reminds me of the bathroom at a Taco Bell..from the 90's. Ick. This stamp would probably look awesome over some neons, though. I'll have to try that eventually.
I will try to have an actual Copy Cat Sat for you tomorrow, so we will see. I've got lots going on! I also have to do a mani for my 10 Day/Week challenge. I may have to change the name to 10 Day/Week/Month challenge. Whoops.

Copy Cat Sat - Nailasaurus
You may be wondering why you are reading a Copy Cat Sat on a Thursday night. Well why not? Oh right, because it's supposed to be done on Saturdays...Well, I've told you before, I am late quite frequently. I didn't want you to feel like you missed out last Saturday, and I had a little time today, so here you go.
This one is from Nailasaurus. It is because of her, that I have done my first successful gradient. So, yay! I love the way this looks, and I'm probably going to do a bunch of these in the future. It's not perfect, but it's definitely better than any of the other attempts I have made. :) This is Revlon Colorstay Cafe Pink and Spoiled Distant Memory.
A little side on Revlon Colorstay in Cafe Pink: It's kind of bad. I mean, the color is very nice, and I have used it before dotting over other colors without a problem. But when it comes to actually painting the whole nail this color, ugh. It went on very streaky/patchy. I had to do three coats to get it all to look (somewhat) even, and it just really didn't want to go on nicely. If I wasn't in such a hurry, I would have needed even more coats to look perfect, but I knew I was just going to cover it up with something else, so I didn't worry about it. Also, by day 2, even with topcoat, it had chipped up pretty bad. It was just all-around a yucky experience. Here it is on it's own - this is day two, so you can see it is chipped up, and has some tip wear.
I also wanted to show you how I kept cleanup to a minimum - tape of course! I taped off my nails, like you would for a water marble. When I was done, I only had a very small amount around the cuticle to clean up. Here's a picture of my nails all taped off.
Now, here is a picture of a booboo. Haha - in one spot on my thumb, I apparently taped over the nail by mistake. I was tired, so I'm not surprised. :) I am sharing this just as a reminder to be careful when taping off your nails to keep the tape off the actual nail. You would think this could go without saying, but if it happened to me, it will happen to someone else. Or at least that's what I would like to think. :)
Oh and also, I am happy to inform you that all the boring nails and hustle and bustle has paid off. I found out yesterday afternoon that I got the job I was interviewing for. Yay me! I am still working for the same company, because I love it there. It's just in a different department, where I get to learn some new things, use the skills I have learned so far in college, and get paid a little more (yay for that!). So, hopefully that can explain to a little bit about why I don't dedicate as much time to this blog as some other bloggers do. I just have a lot going on, but I love doing my nails, and I still need that time out, so you will definitely still see many more posts from me.

Copy Cat Sat - Precious Polish! + I won some AWESOME goodies!
For my Copy Cat Sat this week, I decided to do a mani I saw from Precious Polish that I absolutely fell in love with. It uses an interesting technique with the dotting tool (straight pin for me) to make some really great looking flowers. I think if I'm going to do a mani that uses so many dots in the future, I may have to get a dotting tool. That will have to go on my Christmas list (please Santa?). :) Of course I changed up the colors a bit. I had this neon green from Spoiled called Permission To Proceed that I wanted to try out and it was a pretty big disappointment. I tried using it over white polish since it is so sheer, but it still came out very streaky, so I decided I would just have to do my nail art over top to hide the streaky-ness. After I finished my flowers, it looked pretty decent! Here's it is.
I'm actually pretty happy with this one. Using the straight pin for so many dots was rough, though. It's so short, it's hard to control and be very precise with. For the flowers I used Revlon First Class for the blue (this is my new favorite bright blue!), Spoiled Let's get Sushi for the coral flowers, and Pure Ice Super Star! for the white. After I dotted all of these on, I added some topcoat, and voila!
Thanks for looking, as always. I'll have a new one to share on Wednesday!

Now, for my other big news...I won a giveaway that I entered a few weeks ago from Beauty Crazed in Canada. I'm seriously so shocked by it because it is probably the biggest thing I have ever won. Ever. In my entire life. I keep feeling like I should pinch myself to make sure it's real, because the sheer quantity of awesomeness I'm about to receive is amazing. Amazing. It contains polishes that I would never have been able to afford on my own, and a set of OPI's that I have been desperate to own since they came out. That's right - it's the Muppets Collection!! The Muppets Collection(it's 4 of the minis, but that's 4 more than I thought I would ever own)! Can you believe that?! Obviously, I still can't because I can't stop smiling. And I've known since about 10 AM this morning. And I'm still smiling. Here is a link so you can see what the giveaway included. I am blown away by the generosity of these two girls, and I just hope they know how grateful I am. I could never repay them for this, but I at least want to make sure I give a big thank you from the bottom of my heart. Make sure you check out their page if you don't follow already. Everything they blog about is awesome, and they are hilarious, too. Thanks for looking, as always. I'll have a new one to share on Wednesday!
